Customer and Corporate Services Services

Our engineers deliver a vital service to over five million people, but fundamental work goes on behind the scenes too. Our Business Services board provides integral support services to Electricity North West, and are as much a part of shaping the future of electricity as our frontline workers.

Communications

Good communication is critical in any working relationship. Our customers and stakeholders are crucial to our business, so everything we do is aimed at ensuring they can communicate with us whenever they need to, and that they receive exemplary service every time. Our communications team has three key focuses: external stakeholder engagement & press office; internal communications; and corporate social responsibility. They tailor our messages — which we aim to make vivid and clear every time — to suit our different audiences.

Customer Experience

We're committed to providing a high-quality service that exceeds our customers' expectations, today and in the future. Our goal is to adapt the way we deliver electricity as the energy industry evolves. As customers' first point of contact, our customer teams are friendly, efficient, available at all hours and aim to resolve enquiries quickly with accurate, up-to-date information.

People Services

People Services give our people support and advice — whether they're just starting out with us, or have been working here for years. Two key teams make sure our "people strategies" support our business objectives:

  1. People Services — the first point of contact for our employees, offering a rules-based advice service and looking after all key events you'll experience at Electricity North West.
  2. Business Partnering — working directly with business leaders, this team provides a full advice service and coaching.

Pensions & Reward

We reward our people in ways that suit them. Employees are at different stages of their careers, which means their needs will be different too. The Pensions & Reward team ensures that our total reward package — competitive in the market and the region — meets the priorities of current colleagues and new joiners, and can be shaped to suit their circumstances and lifestyle. The team manages a large pension scheme that pre-dates the 1990s privatisation of the electricity industry. Click here to find out more about Reward.

Talent & Resourcing

Electricity North West's high-performing teams keep over five million people connected to the National Grid. New talent is vital to our success. Talent and Resourcing attract, train and retain the right people for the business; the people who will help us shape the electricity supply of tomorrow.

Our technical Training Academy team in Blackburn equips colleagues with the skills and knowledge they need to maximise their potential for growth. An internal Leadership Development team makes sure future talent is identified and given the opportunity to develop on our Management and Leadership programmes. Training teams manage colleagues in line with Electricity North West's core values.
